Yesterday Eddie and I picked up Aaron's aunt and we drove to OKC to see the new house. They closed on Friday, and don't have anything moved in yet, and with the day-long rain, didn't get anything moved yesterday. The house is wonderful, and on 5.25 acres. The A squares can't wait to be fully living there. The B squares will probably visit next weekend.
During the past week I have taken some pics around the yard.
My 4x4 'garden' from last year. I suppose I'll work it up and try growing banana peppers again
I noticed for the first time these itsy bitsy weed flowers the other day. Maybe Cranky will know what they are
This is what the bitsies look like from ground level
Cranky IDd the these as violets without benefit of the stalk and leaves. Impressive!
Sorry, the little blue thing has me stumped this time (violets are easy as long as you don't ask me the species), partly because some of the flower parts aren't clear. Does it have four petals or five? Looks like four, should narrow the field significantly, but I can't find it. Blurry stuff in center of flower isn't much help either.
ReplyDeleteDamn! Spoke too soon! That Oklahoma flower website is so good. It's Blue Speedwell, an introduced European weedy thing.
